Decarbonising local roads assets

Giles Perkins, the Programme Director for DfT / ADEPT’s £30m Live Labs 2 programme, will host an interactive session detailing the progress being made on this innovation project which aims to accelerate the reduction of carbon across all aspects of the local roads sector. This session is essential for all authorities who have declared a climate emergency as asset based carbon reduction is a key tool in achieving stated net zero targets. Giles will describe how a systematic approach is needed across the sector to achieve a new business as usual and how evidence emerging from the programme can give confidence, evidence and a licence for change.
